Postcard from the Future

As you all may have noticed, the blog is just a tad backlogged. Managing blogging and traveling isn’t easy, and we just aren’t willing to sacrifice any time we could spend enjoying our current stop to stay in and write. We wish we had more time to respond to our fellow travelers’ inspiring blogs, and to participate more on Twitter… but, ahh, the world beckons too loudly. Thanks friends and readers for all your encouragement and comments over the past months!


Revolving Sushi is cheaper!

As you also may have noticed, our posts have ground to a near standstill! Well, we’re on our last two weeks out of the 52 week Round-The-World trip we set off for, and it’s damn hard to tear ourselves away now! Now, through to the end, we’re visiting Japan — expensive land of ultra-automatic toilets, tentacle porn and curry udon.

Now that the fun is coming to end, being backlogged suddenly doesn’t sound so bad. We’re looking forward to reliving many of our favorite weeks as we share them on forksandjets.com!

    Holy smokes, I can’t believe that you are only two weeks away from it being over. I remember when you guys just started out. Can’t wait to hear about Japan because it is going to be next on our list (I think).

    Whoa…you are reaching that dreadful time, the day when the trip is due to finish…I just went through that day about a couple of weeks ago, and I already have the travel bug!

    Fun times in the past, hopefully fun times ahead as well. Are you planning on pursuing more long term traveling projects? I know I am!

    You are not alone, we are also very far behind in our posts. About 4 months! We managed to find some down time swinging in a hammock in Chiang Pai and wrote a bunch to be scheduled but it still has not gotten up even remotely caught up!

    Tell me about it. according to our blog it’s either October 15 or December 3, 2009 and we’re still in Bolivia or just leaving for South Africa. But I haven’t given up just yet.

    It just means that after we’ve had to physically stop backpacking I’ll be mentally travelling while uploading the backlog.

    p.s. great blog. i’ve added you to our blog roll so people will have something to read until i get to that backlog.

    Ahhhh i know the feeling of the end is near. We returned 5 months ago from our family around the world trip. Each day we long for the travel road again.Its been great following you and if your ever in Toronto we have room for you. Relive each day through your blogs it will keep you sane.
    The way i look at it, its not the end just the begining.
